LISTEN: DIDI – ‘Awkward’

Following the release of her debut single ‘Sorry’, Hertfordshire-based artist Lauren Deakin Davies – aka DIDI – is back with a brand new offering.

‘Awkward’ is filled with imaginative musicality (including the twinkling of cold cups of tea) and raw, honest lyrics inspired by the restriction often felt by minorities in society, in a campaign to #endtheawkward.

Of the track, DIDI explains:

“I’ve realized that the sentiment here may resonate with the often patronizing experiences that many people have told me they have, where people speak for you or think they know best. Which is why I want to associate actively with #endtheawkward.”
