LISTEN: die Mauer – ‘Concrete Sweater’

Released via Twitcher Records at the beginning of September, die Mauer‘s latest single ‘Concrete Sweater’ is full of scratchy guitar, mesmeric reverb and detached yet dreamy vocals. The band formed in January earlier this year, so there’s not much to know about these elusive newcomers – yet.

They’ve released just a handful of singles on YouTube – ‘The Fun Is Over’ & ‘Hangman’ – two melancholy tunes about love that’s peaked too soon, and the highly relatable fear of personal inadequacy. There’s even a Christmas song (‘Weignachtzeit’) released in the middle of July. The band’s socials explain that their aim is to “create vibe, terrify” and that’s what they seem to have achieved so far.

We’re excited to see what these guys get up to next, but for now we’re content to listen to the delightful ‘Concrete Sweater’. Check it out below, and follow die Mauer on Facebook for more updates.
