LISTEN: jellyskin – ‘Eater’

Leeds’ jellyskin have released their latest track ‘Eater’, following on from ‘Milk of Magnesia’ and ‘Grey Glass Hat’.

‘Eater’ offers up a pulsing, fuzzy organised chaos of krautrock that engulfs you in the kaleidoscope of sound and colour happily swirling around you. The soothing vocals from Zia Larty-Healy contrast perfectly with the repetitive stabbing chants of ‘eater’ to create an added intensity that pushes the track along.

Joined with the jabbing guitars, there’s no chance for the upbeat synth rambles to rise above the backing, but their substance adds to the cosmic dreaminess. It’s psychedelia with an added fuzzy punch. If you’re into shoegaze, psych, kraut or just anything cosmic-sounding, then jellyskin are your new best friends.
