Listen: Jurassic 5 reveal first new track in 8 years ‘The Way We Do It’

Subsequent to their reunion in 2013, Jurassic 5 have released their first new track in eight years since their fourth LP, ‘Feedback’.

‘The Way We Do It’ is based on a sampled piano riff and Jack White voice excerpt from the White Stripes’ Grammy-nominated ‘My Doorbell’ from 2005 album ‘Get Behind Me Satan’. The song is dedicated to its producer, Heavy D, who passed on in 2011.

The six-member group released their eponymous debut in 1998 to critical acclaim. However after releasing third album ‘Power Cut Lines’ in 2002, DJ and producer Cut Chemist left in 2006 to pursue a solo career. He has now joined back with the LA hip-hop act, and this summer British fans of the cult group will be able to enjoy Jurassic 5’s original line up on a five-date tour of the UK in June before they play Glastonbury  (27th-29th June).

Jurassic 5 play:

Manchester O2 Apollo (June 19)
