LISTEN: Karen Harding shares debut track ‘Say Something’

After failing to get through the X Factor boot camp in 2013, in somewhat controversial circumstances it must be said, Karen Harding returns to show the judges what they missed out on with her huge new single ‘Say Something’.

The County Durham singer, who cites Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey and Sade amongst her influences, is set to release ‘Say Something’ in October and with radio stations beginning to pick the track up for their playlists, 2014 looks set to end on a high note for Harding.

The track itself is a nostalgic trip to the UK garage days of yesteryear and like most mainstream garage tracks that are released these days, it is sure to get the purists seeking a revival of their beloved genre. ‘Say Something’ is a bouncy, bassy, garage head-nodder and Harding’s vocals glaze smoothly over the catchy beat to create a very strong debut track.

Whilst former X Factor contestants generally release a host of cheesy pop tripe following their departure from the show, or in many cases after winning the show, Harding has chosen to go down a more urban route and if ‘Say Something’ is anything to go by, we’re extremely glad she has!

Have a listen to the track below and let us know what you think @Gigslutz_
