LISTEN: Kyle Lettmen samples Artful Dodger on ‘Moving Too Fast’

As one of the most successful and memorable artists to own the garage scene over the late nineties/early noughties, Artful Dodger will have soundtracked the early music-listening years for many twenty-something year olds and now, thanks to UK R&B singer Kyle Lettman, the Artful Dodger vibe is back!

‘Movin’ Too Fast’ was a classic from back in 2000, hitting number 2 on the UK chart and Lettman has just shared a 2015 version ‘Moving Too Fast‘. Granted it’s in a slightly different form and over a slower tempo this time around, but Lettman has definitely captured the essence of brilliance that was so strong in the original..

Lettman’s rapper/singer combination flows perfectly over the hugely recognisable beat, produced by Efx and combined with a verse from grime legend Scorcher, creates a really fresh sounding track. ‘Moving Too Fast’ is taken from Lettman’s forthcoming EP Underconstruction and if the rest of the tracks on that EP are as good as this one, we should be in for a real treat.

So let us know what you think…Do you love this modern take on a garage classic or should Lettman have left this track back in 2000? Get at us via Twitter and Facebook.
