Scottish folk musician and singer-songwriter Mairearad Green has played in various bands and toured with the likes of Karine Polwart, as well as performing at Cambridge Folk Festival and Celtic Connections Festival. Having been introduced to folk music at a young age, Green oozes heartfelt emotion and delicate melodies in her music.

With a new album out out now, telling the stories from the Scottish Islands, Mairearad has now shared a brand new single. ‘The Island’ is a cinematic offering filled with sweeping vocals and emotive melodies, perfectly depicting the beauty of its subject.
