LISTEN: Neon Waltz – ‘Heavy Heartless’

Neon Waltz return home after a triumphant 17 date, marathon tour around the UK to announce the release of new single, ‘Heavy Heartless’ available now through Ignition Records. A precursor to their long-awaited summer debut album, the single meets demand for the band’s swirling, melodic rock boosted by the recent spate of rapturously-received shows, which took them from their John O’Groats home to Brighton and back.

The fourth track to emerge from the band’s album sessions, produced by Rob Kirwan and mixed by Mikey Rowe and Andy Britton, Heavy Heartless follows the lauded single Dreamers, I Fall Asleep (“A downcast piece of acoustic driven psych-pop.” – Clash) and Perfect Frame (“Grandiose gorgeousness” – DIY) out of the traps. Heavy Heartless finds a palette of moods unattainable without deft musicianship and cultured songwriting, winding its way through an introspective, piano-flecked reverie before peaking in a majestic wall of melody, the sound of six musicians and friends broadcasting on exactly the same frequency.
