LISTEN: Raleigh Ritchie unveils new track ‘Never Say Die’

In anticipation of his forthcoming debut album, which is due for release later this year, immensely talented voclaist Raleigh Ritchie has shared a brand new track entitled ‘Never Say Die’. The track will not be appearing on the album and is purely a throwaway single, but if this is the kind of stuff that hasn’t made the final cut of the project then it’s gonna be one hell of an album when it drops.

Teaming up with Kendrick Lamar producer Sounwave for this one, the trap-infused, spacey beat allows Ritchie to showcase his vast vocal talents and working with Sounwave is something he seems to have really enjoyed. Talking about the collaboration, he said,

“I was on a writing trip in the US for my album and we reached out to Sounwave (whom I was a big fan of from [Kendrick Lamar’s album] GKMC) and he was down for working. That was it really. We wrote a few songs and then when I came back a few months later we did even more. We just work really fluently together, he’s one of my favourite people to write with. He’s got a real ear for detail in his production but also a real openness to the way he approaches a song. I find things in his production that I didn’t hear the first time. One of my favourite songs on the album is another one we did. I’m looking forward to people hearing that too.”
