LISTEN: The View’s Kyle Falconer to release debut single ‘Poor Me’

It has been a l-o-n-g time coming, but The View’s frontman, Kyle Falconer is due to release his debut solo single ‘Poor Me’, on Friday 27 April.

Entitled ‘Poor Me’, the first official solo track from Falconer was crafted in Paul Weller’s Black Barn Studio.  The singer/songwriter produced and recorded almost all of the instrumentation, besides the drums, which were manned by Scott Duffy.

The track roars into a melody which one imagines a swashbuckling ABBA tribute would sound like if they were aboard the Black Pearl.  However, do not fret, as Falconer’s sublime vocal and immense energy instantly makes ‘Poor Me’ a guilty pleasure.  We cannot help but steadily chant along to the Alcoholic’s Anonymous mantra “poor me, poor me, pour me another drink.”

‘Poor Me’ sees Kyle Falconer stepping out alone.  You can stream the track ahead of its release by clicking here.
