MARKETING MANAGER – HUGE FASHION BRAND, NORTH LONDON

A rare role with a company who house a multitude of premium fashion labels. Reporting directly to the UK & Ireland MD of one of the flagship brands…

Main responsibilities of the role:

  • In conjunction with the UK Managing Director, Sales Manager, Strategic Account Managers and UK sales team, develop a premium and aspirational brand presence within the Strategic Accounts and the UK market place on multi platforms of marketing, across all forms of media.
  • Maximise the brand’s exposure across key social networks, as a stand-alone brand and as a key brand within their UK retail portfolio.
  • Be a marketing advocate to the Visual Merchandiser team and develop them beyond their comfort zones
  • Build powerful & meaningful relationships with Trade Press ensuring regular quality coverage for the brand, across the categories and genders.
  • Working closely with the Visual Merchandiser team and the Sales Team to create standout, increase brand visibility,  and become the consumer’s “must have brand”.
  • Powerful negotiations with all external suppliers and agencies to achieve the most effective use of marketing pound spent.
  • Identify and implement the right balance between traditional media (Cinema, Print, Press, Outdoor) and contemporary media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram).
  • Regular travel between London, Manchester, Amsterdam and other key European locations spending quality time with European teams.
  • Total Responsibility for >£xm marketing budget

Qualification / Experience / Skills

  • Experience of building & maintaining strong relationships at senior management level.
  • Excellent people manager
  • Cultural awareness and understanding of Pan European Marketing.
  • Experience in social network marketing and how to own the technology driven consumer.
  • Experience of driving a country marketing function.
  • Experience ideally gained within a fashion or retail environment.
  • Marketing qualifications.
  • Experience of brand communications, PR, Trade Press & retail marketing within the UK. Proven track record in retail marketing initiatives delivering projects on time and on budget.
  • Effective communications skills, experience of briefing, working with and managing external agencies.
  • Budget building and budget management skills.

  • A true market expert, leading, advising and course correcting the commercial team on all market place knowledge.
  • Have integrity, presence, strength of personality and a sense of humour.
  • Ability to integrate cross functionally and make things happen. Ability to operate and communicate at a senior management level.
  • A good communicator / listener. Have a strong desire to identify and meet consumer needs. Have gravitas and engender respect.
