Ever wanted an internship at one of the biggest names in the industry, which is paid, and comes with all kind of great benefits? Well Ministry of Sound’s ‘Coolest Intership In London’ could be the one for you.
The six month scheme, which they believe is Britain’s best internship, will pay successful candidates the London Living wage, includes DJ masterclasses and free entry to the famous Ministry of Sound super club for the duration of the internship.
Entry to the internship was via Twitter using the hashtag #MinistryNeedsMe meaning applicants only had 140 characters to sell themselves! 77 lucky tweeters will be taken through for assessment in the next week or so to find a final shortlist who will be interviewed for the 7 positions available. The offices, based in London’s Elephant and Castle, will take on seven interns across their radio, compilations, club, creative, digital, finance and tours & events departments.
Ministry of Sound’s new Human Resources Director, Tacita Small, is spearheading the programme, says she is delighted with the response.
She said: “We want to hire the smartest, freshest talent and discover the UK’s most inspirational people who have the desire to positively impact and lead within the entertainment industry. Some of our directors and managers began their careers here as interns, which is why we feel it’s so important to make our new internship programme as attractive and exciting as possible.”
