The last, fifteen years of Paul Weller’s solo career has seen numerous highs and countless highlights. Following up 1998’s ‘Modern Classics’ album, which showcased the first part of Weller’s tremendous career; the veteran plans to release the album ‘More Modern Classics’ this summer.
‘More Modern Classics’ is set to be compilation of the last fifteen years of artistic highs from Weller’s solo studio albums, such as ’22 Dreams’, ‘Sonik Kicks’ and live album ‘From The Floorboards Up’. Set to be released on June 2nd; ‘More Modern Classics’ has already been credited as a memoir of Weller’s legacy and gift of melodic song writing capabilities and is sure to become one of Weller’s finest moments.
As well as the release of his brand-new album, Paul Weller is keeping in the spirit of Record Store Day 2014; by releasing single ‘Brand New Toy’, which is also set to have a spot on ‘More Modern Classics’.
If the record and new single release wasn’t enough; Paul Weller has pushed the boat out and announced two very intimate live nights in London. These live performances are set to let fans get up-and-personal with the Modfather and will no doubt be a triumph from Weller before he hits the festival circuit this summer.
Tickets for the two date tour in May will be available for an exclusive early-bird pre-sale after pre-ordering ‘More Modern Classics’. However, fans are to be pre-warned that tickets for the intimate gigs are limited at two per person and are sold on a first-come first-served basis.
