Mogwai’s eighth album, ‘Rave Tapes’, is now available for streaming at The Guardian and will be released on January 20 on Rock Action Records.
The album was recorded at the Castle of Doom studio in Glasgow by Paul Savage who have worked with the Scottish band in the past and is characterised by an electronic sound due to a big use of synthesizers and electronic drums. Real drums and some piano feature on the record as well alongside Braithwaite’s singing.
“Rave Tapes” is the follow-up of 2011’s “Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will” and you can listen to it HERE.
