Muse announced as Glastonbury headliners

It has today been confirmed that theatrical rockers Muse will headline the Pyramid Stage on Friday night at Glastonbury this year. This will make them the first band ever to have headlined every night of the festival: in 2010, they headlined Saturday and back in 2004 they headlined Sunday.

The announcement – which follows the band’s success in the ‘rock’ category at this year’s Grammys – was made by the band posting a video on Twitter, along with the message “Playing a little show at home…”

Muse will be joining Coldplay and PJ Harvey at the festival.

Glastonbury Festival takes place Wednesday 22 June to Sunday 26 June this year.
