NEW MUSIC: Joe Peter shares debut track ‘Self Adhesive’

Brighton based multi-instrumentalist and music maker Joe Peter has burst into view with his impressive debut single ‘Self Adhesive’. The alternative pop jam drips with a 90s swagger, whilst being set to a more forward-looking production which compresses of live and acoustic guitars, sampled drum patterns and synth flourishes with introspective lyrics which muse on the world around him. Speaking of the track and what it represents, Joe explains:


“I dunno why but I wanted to kick things off with something that was a bit more guitar based than my other tracks. Lyrically, it was written as a kick up the arse to myself, but also as a reminder to pick yourself up, dust yourself down and start again.”

Some with an obvious DIY attitude Peter writes, performs and produces all of his music and has even created wonderfully quirky stop motion lyric video to accompany the release, which you can watch below. We’ve been told that this track marks the first step in an exciting solo project, so let’s see what else this guy comes up with
