Tyneside’s Beth Macari releases
soulful follow up to top 10 single and announces UK tour

Following the huge success of her recently released feel-good single “Gotta Get Back”,
Newcastle’s Beth Macari is back with a heartfelt R&B-style love letter.
2021 started off with a bang for the Tyneside soul singer. Her first single release of the year,
“Gotta Get Back” earned acclaim from both fans and critics, peaking at no. 5 in the UK Soul
Chart.

Top Thirty

The track continues to list in the top thirty thanks to wide-reaching airtime across the soul and
popular music circuit, including plays on the BBC, Lottoland’s article, international radio and underground soul
stations.

“There’s no better news to wake up to than finding out your song is in the UK Soul Chart, and
reaching number 5 was a really proud moment for me,” Beth Macari commented.
“I feel like I haven’t written a love song in a while and “Love You More” was an opportunity to
explore something a bit different, tapping into some influences that haven’t been expressed in
my music so far.”

The follow up single

On the follow up single “Love You More”, Macari swaps out the 90’s dance floor vibes of her
previous effort for a more laid back, jazz driven soul sound reminiscent of early Alicia Keys and
Lauryn Hill.
Although live music ground to a halt back in 2020, Beth managed to perform twice at the UK’s
first socially distanced venue, the Virgin Money Unity Arena, supporting Fleetwood Mac tribute
“Rumours” and Les Misérables star, Alfie Boe.
With live music set to make a return in 2021, Beth is excited to be back on the stage, with dates
for a UK tour already confirmed.
She is set to perform across the UK this summer including a headline show at Newcastle’s top
soul venue Hoochie Coochie as well as established grass roots venue The Bedford in London
and a support slot with X Factor winner Alexandra Burke this September.
