New Track: God Damn – ‘Sing This’

God Damn have been causing quite a stir with their new single, ‘Sing This’, and it’s easy to see why.

Recently named Daniel P Carter’s ‘Rockest Record’ on Radio 1, ‘Sing This’ is a sleazy whirlwind of desert-rock riffs. The duo take a leaf out of Queens of the Stone Age’s book in achieving the alchemy of brutal heaviness, a sinister groove and no little melody.

The single is a glimpse of what’s to come from upcoming record Everything Ever, God Damn’s second to be released – excitingly produced by Ross Orton, who has previously worked with The Fall, Kagoule, Tricky, Drenge and Arctic Monkeys.

Singer and guitarist Thom Edwards’ twisted call to arms is a further delight, summing up the tune better than we can: “End of the world, first in the air, we don’t care, ‘cos om gunna duy annuyway, let’s be ‘aving ya’ POP BANGER.”

‘Sing This’ is taken from God Damn’s second album, Everything Ever, which is released on 23 September via One Little Indian Records.
