NEW TRACK: HAUS – ‘Say What you Say’

The sound of summer 2017 has arrived, and it comes in the form of new tune ‘Say What You Say’ from Tottenham five-piece HAUS. The funky guitar and buoyant vocals will have you dancing until the sun goes down, or at least until the following morning when you have to “get your head straight”. The track is taken from their upcoming EP of the same name, and it’s sure to go down well with crowds at festivals and on HAUS’ tour dates later this year.

The band are renowned for their confidence and foresight when writing and performing music, and things are no different on ‘Say What You Say’. The group explained the inspiration behind the track: “We wanted to address the self-contradictory system we live in today. We live in a world built from thought, but it’s almost frowned upon to think outside the box. We use words like ‘war’ as a mask to make murder acceptable, and to try and prove that killing is wrong. We ALL know the way we are living is unacceptable, but we fear to do anything about it.”

HAUS’ vision for their forthcoming EP is equally as passionate: “This EP highlights the main questions people are quite often scared to address, (as cliche as it sounds). It also speaks about the dark time we are going through at the moment, but the sense of hope and togetherness we’re getting from it, the sense of belief and inspiration we can draw from it. We live in a society now that oppresses our creativity and originality. A society that separates us makes us compete against each other. We blame society, but we are society. We can change.”

The band will be playing at The Courtyard in London on April 26th as well as other UK dates, so make sure you head down to join the HAUS party. Listen to ‘Say What You Say’ below, and follow HAUS on Facebook for more updates.
