New Track: Manatee – ‘Logistics’

Fleet based quartet, Manatee, are bouncing onto the scene with their debut indie-pop track, ‘Logistics’. In the winter of 2013 the band formed, consisting of Joe Alexander (rhythm guitarist/lead vocalist), Calum Ellison (lead guitarist), Sophie Wickham (bass) and Zach Boakes (drums).

Upon just a couple of listens, the lyrics to ‘Logistics’ find a way to stick into my mind, accompanied by the summery vibe that it brings. The intro simulates a feeling of warmth and fun; a definite need for your festival playlist this summer.

With influences from Two Door Cinema Club and Dog is Dead, indie fans around the country are going to eat this track up instantly. The mixture between female and male vocals in the song is a refreshing twist, which this upcoming band is able to pull off effortlessly.

‘Logistics’ is a song that should be, and will be, blasted out of cars as they travel around in the sun this year. It’s available from iTunes and various other digital platforms as of Monday 11 May, so indie lovers get ready to purchase a forthcoming single that will surely have you singing along within minutes. However, if you’re itching to blare it out of your speakers now, take yourself over to Soundcloud where it’s ready for you to play it over and over again.
