New Track: Meat Wave – ‘Delusion Moon’

Having already released their first track – ‘Erased’ – earlier this year, Meat Wave have now shared their latest single, emerging from the band’s forthcoming second full length LP, ‘Delusion Moon’.

Although short and simple, title track – ‘Delusion Moon’ – snarls and bites, controlled by an angsty vocal delivery, which sits over unrelenting high powered crunching guitar lines and smashing drum beats. This synergy is somewhat reminiscent of early Pixies material; a really fantastic slice of garage punk!

Meat Wave leave the track on a note that perplexes the listener’s ear. The puzzlement then grabs you, questioning what is next to come, and I really want to hear what follows! From what I have already heard, I expect the entire LP to be slashing, gritty and full of fresh raw power.

Make sure you check out Meat Wave’s current tracks, and keep an eye out for them in the near future – they sure have got something cool in store!

Delusion Moon, the new album from Meat Wave, is out 18 September via SideOneDummy Records.
