New Track: Miss – ‘Cleopatra’s Eyes’

Following their previous EP Do You Feel Electric?, Marty Felton and Benjamin Wade – aka MISS –  are back with their latest track ‘Cleopatra’. With its misty, hushed introduction and pitch contrasting vocals intro slightly resembling a Two Door Cinema Club vibe, the talents of the duo are reflected yet again in this number.

Just like Cleopatra herself, this track is filled with mystery. Furthering the mystery are the acapella vocals  – once the busy sounding hook concludes, the lyrics seem to create a mystical vibe to the track.

With sweeping strings alongside guitar riffs, a quirkiness is added to the indie rock tones. These riffs continue for the entirety of the track, despite being muted behind strong vocal harmonies.

Gradually becoming slower towards the bridge where the highest pitch of the vocals are sounded, the busyness of the bridge creates the extra-terrestrial tones which uplift the track, with eerie synthesised sounds.

Showcasing their talent yet again, this chilled indie track from MISS is one that must be listened to.

You can buy the track at Miss’ Bandcamp.
