New Track: Mo Kenney – ‘Unglued’

Canadian songwriter Mo Kenney returns to our headphones with her upcoming new single, ‘Unglued’. This is the first single to be taken from her much anticipated new album The Details, which is due for release later this year. A catchy little track, ‘Unglued’ is one of those songs that you can’t help but bop your head along to.

With her dreamy vocals and daring lyrics – “everybody said that you’d leave me for dead” –  Kenney could easily be likened to the early sounds of another courageously talented Canadian artist known as Tegan and Sara.

‘Unglued’ is a wonderfully composed track, with the offbeat drum riff and rising bass scales giving the track a solid foundation for Mo’s vocals to stand upon. The guitar solo towards the end of the track gives us a nice bluesy twist to the vocal melodies we hear throughout, making us certain that Kenney is a definite one to watch this year!

‘Unglued’ is out 26 May. Catch Mo Kenney at one of a string of live UK dates:
