NEW TRACK: PINS – ‘Got It Bad’

Precise delivery, sharp sound, and superb style are three things fans have come to expect from Manchester band, PINS. The post punk five-piece released their debut album Girls Like Us in 2013, and Faith, Anna, Lois, Sophie & Kyoko returned earlier this year with acclaimed follow up Wild Nights.

Their latest single from the new album, ‘Got It Bad’ – which premiered through Wonderland Magazine this week – is softer in content compared to previous songs, but PINS are still firmly set in the rock music mould, and both the video and track host cleanly cut audio and visuals.

Shot by Sarah Jenny Johnson, and primarily in gray/black and white, the footage sees the band traverse the nightscape of the northern quarter, and Ancoats districts of Manchester. Sparklers and whiskey in hand, the girls roam their familiar urban hometown, looking effortlessly cool.

The moody reverb effect on guitar and Faith’s measured, authoritative vocals tease listeners with the secret PINs are “dying to tell”. Fortunately, this “secret” is visually accompanied by balloons and alcohol – two things which are guaranteed to amp up the volume on Wild Nights out on the razz.

The only thing ‘bad’ about PINS new track is that it ends. Make sure you catch them live on tour in February 2016, and download ‘Got It Bad’ today.
