New Track: Spice Boys – ‘Fuk Luv’

Hailed as the most exciting new band in Umeå, Sweden and with an excellent name to match, this offering from Spice Boys comes in the form of a frenzied two minutes of quality garage punk. Taken from their much-anticipated debut EP Spice City, ‘Fuk Luv’ is awash with Eagulls-esque lo fi vocals, jangly guitars, and a healthy dose of thrashing drums that are guaranteed to have you putting the track on repeat.

In true punk fashion, the EP was reportedly recorded during “a one night drunken session” and by all accounts appears to possess all the qualities to give Californian counterparts FIDLAR a run for their money.

The band, who for the record, only formed six months ago off the back of the name that was deemed too good to waste, say of ‘Fuk Luv’:

“It’s about being sad, drunk, lonely, and heartbroken in your old childhood bedroom cursing everything while suffering from stress-induced stomach issues. It’s definitely the most pathetic and cliché song we’ve ever written but love conquers all so fuck off.”

Spice City, the new EP from Spice Boys is out 22 April via PNKSLM Recordings.
