New Track: Tijuana Bibles – ‘Sunchaser’

Featured in Gigslutz Unsigned City: Glasgow towards the tail-end of last year, Tijuana Bibles look set to build on their 2014 success with the release of new song, ‘Sunchaser’, in March.

‘Sunchaser’ is reminiscent of  the Tijuana Bibles sound I discovered and loved last year and, whilst it is perhaps a little less intense than the gritty greasy rock of ‘Crucifixion’ and ‘Toledo’, it  has a real groove to it that is infectious from the off.  ‘Sunchaser’ really showcases the vocal of singer Tony Costello and, as he sings “sunchaser ride to the light, circles in the sky painting prisms in your mind, we never die unless we say so”, it is easy to imagine this song featuring in a ‘Western movie’. Indeed, with the accompanying guitar, drums and dark lyrics, the song would not be out of place in a Tarantino epic.

Existing fans of the band are sure to love ‘Sunchaser’ and, having just kicked off a fourteen date tour, my suggestion is to catch Tijuana Bibles in the small venues now while you still can!
