Ash release the surreal video for their newest single ‘Confessions In The Pool’.
Ash have unveiled the video for the third single taken from their newest hit album, Islands. The visuals feature the surrealist slant on the idea of confession, even taking time to make reference to the much beloved Monty Python classic, The Life of Brian.
The wonderfully shot video parodies the idea of religious devotion in the modern world, as well as supporting the songs beautifully-crafted hooks and melodies. All of this is aided by Tim Wheeler’s production and guest backing vocals by The Undertones.
When asked about the album Ash stated via press release that, “The video is a surreal play on the song title. It takes the Confessions idea and runs with it so far it becomes surreal meditation on belief and salvation in the modern age. Blessed are the cheesemakers!”
The video comes as Ash round off a stand-out summer. Smashing into the Top 20 with their return to long-time label Infectious and first album since 2015’s Kablmmo. Ash is also coming off a set of stellar festival performances and intimate club shows as they gear up for their upcoming Islands tour, kicking off in North America in September before moving on to the UK with their 16th October date at Sheffield’s Leadmill, tickets for which are available via the band’s official website.
