ONE TO WATCH: Daye Jack

At just 19-years-old, rapper/singer Daye Jack has recently finished studying Computer Science at NYU. During his first semester at that very same educational institute, he took his first steps into the world of music by recording a collection of tracks, which he released on a mixtape aptly titled Hello World.

Since that initial release, which caught the attention of Hip Hop fans around the world due to it’s unique instrumentation and memorable lyrics, Daye has gone on to share a number of other tracks via SoundCloud, most recently sharing the video for his latest track ‘Easy’ via YouTube and you can watch those highly creative visuals in full below.

‘Easy’ is taken from Daye Jack’s mixtape Soul Glitch, which he has released for free via Warner Bros yesterday (29th June 2015) and you can listen to that offering in full below or download it here.

It’s not often that a young teenage mind produces music of such deep and thought-provoking quality, but that is exactly what Daye Jack does and the music we hear on Soul Glitch is no different. With a hypnotically beautiful flow and beats to match, Daye Jack is definitely an artist you need to be paying attention to right now.

Atlanta’s Hip Hop scene in a very strong at the moment, with Childish Gambino, Gucci Mane and Migos leading the way, but Daye Jack is offering something different, something more soulful than many of his contemporaries. If Hip Hop is your flavour, then Daye Jack’s music is what you need to tuck into, so get started by streaming his latest mixtape below and keep up to date with all the latest news via Twitter and Facebook
