Comprising of Harry Nicoll, Maxwell Oakley and Anthus Davis, The Bay Rays are the latest band to arise from Kent. Having only been discovered in 2015, their debut track ‘Four Walls’ is undoubtedly a hit.
Resembling a mix of bands such as The Fratellis and The Vaccines, thrilling guitar is played in conjunction with a steady yet catchy drum beat and contrasting high pitched vocals; producing extremely effective creations.
Passionate drum beats begin ‘Four Walls’ before showcasing the band’s capabilities throughout the busy choruses. Flawless instrumentals fill the track, with vocals resembling Justin Young with hints of Pete Doherty. Without a doubt, this track shows a great rock band in the making.
With BBC Radio 1 significantly supporting the band, it is safe to say that this track will not be the last to come from The Bay Rays.
Considering this band have only been on the scene for under a year, and have already been chosen by Annie Mac as a ‘New Name’ for this month, you must give The Bay Rays a try.
