Ones To Watch: FLIIIS

FLIIIS may have only been around for just over a month, but it seems a month is all you need to get it going – other bands are obviously just slacking. Certainly proving their dedication, the start of 2016 has seen Daniel and Jarred move to Manchester, release a single and book themselves a headliner show at Manchester’s Castle Hotel; all while the rest of us are still struggling to find the motivation to get out of bed.

Luckily, though rather unsurprisingly, FLIIIS have the sound to match the commitment to making music. Their unique brand of indie/electronic/’pissed off pop’ is fuzzy, funky – the perfectly imperfect blend of feel-good indie vocals, pop sensibilities and an edge that keeps it from straying too far into a pop-orientated sound.

For their single ‘Feel It’ to be the product of only a month as a band says pretty much all that needs to be said about FLIIIS, but that’s not to say we can’t eagerly await more – and at the pace they’re moving, there’s no doubt it’ll be here soon.
