Sweden’s favourite indie-pop trio Peter Bjorn and John kick-off 20th year with cautiously optimistic and utterly catch new single ‘On the Brink’. The song is out today and is the fourth to be released ahead of the band’s 9th full-length studio album ‘Endless Dream’ – out March 13th via INGRID. It follows on from previous singles ‘Idiosyncrasy,’ ‘Reason To Be Reasonable,’ and ‘Rusty Nail’.

“In line with most of the other songs on ‘Endless Dream,’ ‘On The Brink’ has a cautious positive philosophical outlook on life and the shortcomings of being. It looks onwards with a grain of hope and confidence. It wonders what’s really important when everything comes to a head and the mind is bogged with how extremely tiny we all are compared to the vastness of the universe.” Commented Peter when asked about the song, adding“This dramatic triple time track has a lot in common musically and emotionally with PBJ’s epic indie-classic “Objects Of My Affection” from the Writer’s Block album. With rolling tom-toms, mandolin, 12-stringed guitar and singalong sea shanty chorus it might even be its older and slightly wiser folk rock cousin or sibling.”

As with the three previous singles, the accompanying artwork for ‘On The Brink’ was created by ‘Writer’s Block’ illustrator Graham Samuels.
Peter Bjorn and John commence a North American headline tour on March 23rd in LA. ‘On The Brink’ is out today and ‘Endless Dream’ is out March 13th via INGRID.
