Prior to The Stone Roses, school mates put a band together with the name of The Patrol.

Ian Brown played bass, John Squire played guitar, Si Wolztencroft was on drums and Andy Couzens did the vocals. This photograph was taken at Dunham Massey Youth Club to support Corrosive Youth & Suburban Chaos. From what we can hear, the band were utterly ahead of their time, which you can listen to below.
