Having received acclaim from BBC 6 Music’s Tom Robinson for their last single ‘Ready When You Are’, Oxford collective Catgod are set to release a new EP next month, and have now shared title track ‘Someone Love’.
Filled with twinkling melodies and deep sumptuous vocals, ‘Someone Love’ oozes shades of gentle folk alongside cinematic trip-hop-tinged beats reminiscent of the likes of Lamb or Portishead. Flowing with sweeping harmonies, it’s an eclectic and emotion-strewn fusion of genres, resulting in a soaring, mesmerising soundscape.
Listen to ‘Someone Love’, for the first time, here:
‘Someone Love’ is out 2 June, with the EP of the same name set for release on 21 July.
