Premiere: Cut Capers – ‘Face In The Crowd’

Bristol-based eight piece Cut Capers draw influence from the likes of (one of my personal faves) The Cat Empire, and blend together blasts of hip-hop, ska and swing, creating buoyant, uplifting offerings that – not-suprisingly – make for particularly popular, vibrant live shows. Having played at festivals such as Glastonbury and Secret Garden Party, Cut Capers’ reputation continues to grow, and their debut album is out today.

Taken from the album is new track, ‘Face In The Crowd’ – an infectiously upbeat creation, filled with sunny reggae-inspired beats, booming brass melodies and the smooth, soulful vocals of Jane Thomas.
