Premiere: Feed The Kid – ‘In The City’

Manchester band Feed The Kid initially formed to do just that – ‘feed’ drummer Adam’s new child. Along with Adam, Curtis Taylor, Ciaran Egan, Dane Stubbs, Jake Murphy and Alex Goulding have already received acclaim from the likes of BBC Introducing and XFM, and are making a name for themselves locally, having headlined some of Manchester’s most prestigious venues.

An ode to their Northern home, new single ‘In The City’ is filled with bluesy riffs alongside catchy ’70s-inspired melodies: a raw, infectious blast of rock ‘n’ roll.

Of the track, vocalist Curtis explains:

“People are struggling all over. It is about our city, but then every city is the same. It chews you up and spits you out. Capitalism at its peak. Even though we are not a punk band, this has a longing for rebellion. Call it what you want, punk, psychedelic, rock and roll, punkadelica. It’s a soundtrack for the rebellion.”
