PREMIERE: Jack The Box shares ‘Back 4 More (Lil’ Mark Rmx)

Jack The Box, the Berlin-based project combining classic Chicago house, hip-hop and soul influences, has shared one of three new remixes from their ‘Side A’ album exclusively with Gigslutz.

The duo, compromising of veteran Chicago house producer Tyree Cooper and his longtime DJ/production partner Bobby Starrr, gave the track ‘Back 4 More’ over to Bristol groove wizard Lil’ Mark to rework into a stripped down, slow boiling workout that also nods to the world of electro with its infectious polyrhythms near its conclusion.

Lil Mark’s mix will appear alongside reworkings of ‘Heat’, also from ‘Side A’, by Paul Johnson (named by Daft Punk as a key influence on their sound on the track ‘Teachers’) and Glasgow’s James Johnston, in a digital package on November 6, followed by a full digital re-issue of the 2013 album ‘Side A’ on November 27.  The releases are the start of a stepped up campaign of new material from Hypernatural Recordings, a collective of musicians, DJs, visual artists and other creative types based in hipster paradise Berlin.
