Edinburgh band Jakil met as teenagers and got together through their mutual love of Michael Jackson and ’80s movies – both of which can be heard in their creations. Having been playing shows across the country, the band are now back with a brand new single, to follow the success of last year’s ‘Unforgivable’.
Filled with uptempo, sunny vibes ‘Every Time We Talk’ is propelled by jangly melodies and an infectious chorus that’ll have you up on your feet and dancing round the kitchen in no time. An instant ear-worm, ‘Every Time We Talk’ is a truly catchy slice of vibrant, ’80s-inspired pop.

“The song is about falling for someone who’s a little bit mean, but keeping you keen… I guess that’s what makes it quite a sad song, but the uplifting production of the track gives it a fun, colourful backdrop… “
