Cool London venue entrepreneurs Kansas Smitty’s House Band are set to release their new single ‘Movin’ On’ on June 30th, but here at Gigslutz we’ve got early access to the band’s fabulous new tune. The group run Kansas Smitty’s venue in London fields which hosts ultra-cutting-edge bands from just about every genre you can think of emerging from the jazz world, as well as their regular “jazz raves”.

Their new single features Lewis Durham of Kitty, Daisy and Lewis on vocals which adds a bluesy, upbeat indie vibe to the record. The band are gearing up to play Love Supreme Festival, Cornbury Festival and Boomtown Fair this summer, and with BBC 6 Music’s Shaun Keaveney, Cerys Matthews and Craig Charles all airing a live version of ‘Movin’ On’ from the band’s appearance at Cheltenham Jazz Festival in the past few weeks; it’s a very exciting time for the group.
