Premiere: King Bee – ‘Buzzkut’

Formed in 2015, Brighton duo King Bee have just released their new single ‘Buzzkut’, and it sounds as startling and fuzzy as the haircut it takes it’s name from.

Together, Ed (Guitars/Vocals) and John (Drums) have written a belting track that relies on dense bass lines and beastly drum beats to get your blood pumping, and at 5 minutes long, ‘Buzzkut’ does just that. The pair have been described as “a wild and unruly two-headed monster” by Classic Rock Magazine, and with songs like this it’s easy to see why. It’s always impressive when two people manage to create the same volume of sound you’d expect from a four piece band; and King Bee certainly don’t disappoint.

They’re keeping good company too; fellow Brighton duos Skinny Milk and Dirty White Fever will be playing alongside the band on the 26th of May at The Green Door Store. The night will celebrate the trio of talented two-pieces, so if you’re a fan of garage, or fuzzed out ‘stoner’ rock – King Bee and their Brighton buddies are the bands for you.
