Premiere: La Bête Blooms feat. EMBRS – ‘Stingray’

Three Minute Heroes is a Warren Youth Project Initiative integrating Music & Mental Health. Based in Hull, the Warren have taken successful musicians played on BBC Radio 1, 6Music & Radio X and connected them with school children from Hull and the East Yorkshire area as a way for the children to express their feelings through music. Fifteen artists, including bands supported by BBC DJs Huw Stephens, Steve Lamacq and Radio X’s John Kennedy like Fronteers, La Bête Blooms, False Advertising & Serial Chiller have taken the children’s lyrics & turned them into a thought-provoking album.

Taken from the album is ‘Stingray’, with Hull natives La Bête Blooms giving a voice to local children’s concerns in their usual stomping, gritty style. Oozing impassioned vocals and thrashing riffs, complemented perfectly by the the delicate tones of EMBRS, it’s an emotion-strewn offering reflecting on the struggles we can often face in life, but in the form of a mega catchy dose of infectious alt-rock.
