Having previously performed in many bands, including most recently The Au Revoirs, Lucie Barât has now taken the plunge into a solo career. Having already been announced at a number of festivals this year, Lucie is now set to release her debut solo single.
Filled with Lucie’s fervent, soulful vocals and thought-provoking socially aware lyrics, alongside infectious driving riffs, ‘Be Uprising’ is a truly powerful offering. Oozing a raw indie-pop sound with a unique gritty edge, it fuses together an eclectic range of genres creating an impassioned and empowering track that instantly demands a second listen. Of the track Lucie explains:
“It’s ultimately an uplifting song, encouraging against apathy in a terse and frightening political climate”.
