PREMIERE: Metaxas shares beautiful acoustic debut ‘Selene’

Born in New York to Cypriot parents, Metaxas now calls London his home.  In the early part of his musical journey, Metaxas’ determination and love of music was rewarded by a place at the internationally recognized Berklee College of Music in Boston where he honed his skills. Now, the singer/songwriter is ready to release his debut single and we’re excited to exclusively bring you the premiere of ‘Selene’.

It’s a beautifully touching, atmospheric acoustic track and is an incredible way to make your initial mark on the music world. ‘Selene’ showcases Metaxas’ striking-yet-soulful vocals whilst also demonstrating his ability to convey a truly emotive and heartfelt story. Talking about the single, Metaxas said,

“Selene is about someone I met and really fell for, almost in a way that is unhealthy. I was mesmerised and in my attempt to make a connection and try to get closer, I lost control and scared her away. It was at that time that ‘Selene’ kind of poured out of me, one night at 3:00am. I’m pretty sure I sent her the song that night and never got a reply. Selene actually means ‘the moon’ in Greek. The moon is in sight but never in reach, just like Selene”

‘Selene’ is available to download for free from 8th April and Metaxas will be releasing his debut album later this year. In the meantime, make sure you’re following him on Twitter to keep up to date with all the latest news about releases, shows & more.
