Following its November release, Miraculous Mule‘s prophetic track – it was written two years ago – ‘Where Monsters Lead’ now has a video to match.
Flashing TV screens of the world’s current villains – Farage and Trump – alongside images of dictatorships and scrawled on newspapers with truthful headlines (“Experts Talking Shit!”), ‘Where Monsters Lead’ feels almost 1984-esque. As the band’s Michael J Sheehy says: “it feels like we’re living through a waking nightmare.”
A glum reminder of what our future may hold, we can only hope ‘Where Monsters Lead’ is the first of many forewarnings from Miraculous Mule, and we take action sooner next time.
‘Where Monsters Lead’ is taken from the band’s second album Two Tonne Testimony, due out 24 March. Watch the video below:
