Premiere: Sugarthief – ‘When Did It All Go So Wrong?’

Having already gained support from the likes of Steve Lamacq, BBC Introducing and Amazing Radio, Birmingham band Sugarthief create indie-rock anthems reminiscent of early noughties bands such as Arctic Monkeys and The View. Now, following the success of last year’s ‘Joy Affair’, they are back with a punchy new single.

‘When Did It All Go So Wrong?’ races with a youthful energy as jangly melodies and pummelling uptempo beats blast from the speakers. A truly infectious slice of nostalgic indie-rock that is sure to cement Sugarthief as ones to watch in 2017.

Speaking about the band’s offerings, front-man Jordi explains:

“As a typical teenager I like to question everything I read, hear and see. You start to unearth different emotions and experience new feelings, and music helps me to explore and express these.”

Listen to ‘When Did It All Go So Wrong?’, for the first time, here:

‘When Did It All Go Wrong?’ is out 31 March. And you can catch Sugarthief live at Birmingham’s Sunflower Lounge on 30 March to celebrate its release.
