British Columbian, Canadian band The Zolas have Premiered their lyric video for their new single ‘Energy Czar’ today on Gigslutz….

The track is taken from new album ‘Come Back To Life’ – which is very much inspired by ’90s British indie.

It’s a homage to Wong Kar-Wai, especially his punkier 90s movies like Fallen Angels. The song predates Coronavirus,  but is written about our delusions of domination over nature. How with climate change the planet is starting to remind us that we’re not in charge here and never were. A 4-minute moment where we’re allowed to feel all the fun narcissism and self-loathing that comes with being a human being in the 21st century.
