Premiere: Tim De Graaw – ‘Ivory’

Born in Johannesburg, but raised in the UK, singer-songwriter and musician Tim De Graaw has done his fair share of travelling; having spent time in LA as a musician, he is now back in London to continue creating his rich, blues-tinged offerings. With his debut EP out next month, he has now shared a brand new track.

‘Ivory’ is filled with intricate, impassioned guitar melodies alongside De Graaw’s poetic lyricism and bluesy licks, reminiscent of the likes of Ryan Adams. An exquisitely constructed and emotion-strewn offering, it’s the perfect introduction to what this singer-songwriter has in store for us on his EP.

Describing his sound, De Graaw says:

“I wanted to combine my guitar blues influence with my own songwriting style. With lyrics that are truthful, honest and poetic about my fight with depression, struggles in music, and the pitfalls of love”.
