PREVIEW: The Downs Festival, Bristol 31.08.19

Now in its fourth year, The Downs festival is only a month or two away before landing in Bristol.

With last year’s stint including the likes of Noel Gallagher and Paul Weller, it’s organisers – Team Love and Crosstown Concerts –  have kept in tradition, booking heavy-hitting headliners for 2019 such as Lauryn Hill and Grace Jones.

This year The Downs will be taking over the entire weekend starting Saturday 31stof August, with the likes of Loyle Carner, Idles, Neneh Cherry and easily one of the most exciting bands at the moment: Fontaines D.C.

Sunday will celebrate all things Reggae, with the likes of Rodigan and Trojan Soundsystem introducing the first day of September for people of all ages to get involved.

Whilst The downs has never failed to bring some of the best established and upcoming artists to the stage, there is plenty more to explore such as an all-new addition Dining Tent, curated by award winning Bristol chef Toby Gritten, who will bring the fine dining for all with meat, vegetarian and vegan six course tasting menus.

As usual The Downs encourages families and children to get stuck in, keeping eco-warriors happy with it’s pedal-powered workshops , The Bug Lady’s Big Bug Talk and more.

Tickets are £55 for adults and £15 for children and can be bought HERE
