REVIEW: 90s Club Classics (140g Black Vinyl)

Decorating sticky nightclub dancefloors, MTV paylists and Top Of The Pops studios where innovative dance tracks that have gone to be continual reminders of the 90’s heady glowstick years. Demon Music Group have now set free a bunch of the best tracks from this period via a double vinyl release.

Some of the standout tracks include; Deee-Lite Groove Is In The Heart, featuring Boosty Collins this abiding piece of modern euro funk no doubt influenced the likes of Mark Ronson; Xpansions Move Your Body conjures up visions of strobe lights smattering the consecrated walls of The Hacienda; SL2 On A Ragga Tip reminds me of hanging around empty car parks whilst mates blasted this tune from their Ford Fiesta stereo systems; Cathy Dennis Touch Me (All Night Long) whilst being a Eurovision type upbeat banger, Dennis around this period came across as the English Madonna, if only for a brief moment.

The remaining tracks are equally dipped in steep legendary status featuring Crystal Water, Bobby Brown, Fatboy Slim, Leftfield, K.W.S. and many more, this is a release not to be shunned at if your thing is forgetting your troubles whilst skipping and breaking out into body popping and breakdance type jives.
