Contrary to many reviews of Lauryn Hill’s show at Brooklyn Bowl earlier this week, her show last night in Birmingham did not disappoint . Although we did not get the ‘Miseducation of Lauryn Hill’, we were re-educated into the music as she sees it today. ‘Everything Is Everything’ was a modern masterpiece and there were no surprises with the voice except the fact that it was the same deep husky soulful voice that we had fallen in love with all those years ago.
