Following on from their support slot with The Kaiser Chiefs the previous night at Hammersmith Apollo, Sunderland five piece Frankie & The Heartstrings hot footed it acrossLondonto the allegedly trendy Dalston to the Shacklewell Arms to headline their own Pop Sex club night.

Lead singer Frankie kindly gave up some of pre gig rider drinking time to have a chat with me about the successful last year for the band, whats coming next, favourite biscuits and general bollocks.

The gig itself was a rip roaring success. The sell out crowd were shoe horned into the tiny back room which made for a blinding and sweaty atmosphere. You can see some of the footage during the interview. Following the show the club night got into full swing with the Vaccines DJ’s throwing the tunes out. The end of the night is something of a blur so I’ll leave it there, but to say thanks Frankie & The Heartstrings for a cracker.
